Me

My name is Cortney Marabetta. This version of matchingtragedy.com is currently my tenth fully-designed site, and it won't be the last.

I've worked on platforms like WordPress, Danga Interactive, and Wikidot, as well as in straight XHTML/CSS. I'm particularly interested in design, code, and social media; I've lived my life online since 1999, when I coded my first site, and I have a strong interest in the digital platform as a lifestyle medium. I believe that Web 3.0 is going to be based around something that seamlessly integrates all the parts of our lives that are lived online - where we rely now on RSS feeds and a lot of clicking, Web 3.0 is going to integrate all those things into a seamless UX. I want to make that.

My site

This site was hand-coded in Coda, using XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery in January 2011. I've learned a lot, from a lot of different sources; this was an opportunity to integrate it. It's the current culmination of a 10+ year love affair with coding, and with the desire to push myself to learn more, always.
